About Warren County Habitat for Humanity
Welcome to the Warren County Habitat for Humanity (WCHFH) web site, were glad you found us! WCHFH, founded in 1995 is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Habitat for Humanity International has built more than 1,000,000 homes, sheltering more than 5 million people in more than worldwide. Here in Warren County, WCHFH has completed 15 houses since 1998 and we are well on our way to the completion of house number 16 by the early part of 2017.
The need for affordable quality housing in Warren County continues to be significant. The work of WCHFH is as important today as it was when the chapter was founded. The need for continued support from people in this county is also very important. Gifts of time, talent and resources are what allow our organization to do our part in addressing housing needs in our communities. To those of you, who have contributed in any way in the past to our work, please accept my thanks on behalf of the Board. For those of you who are interested in joining us as a volunteer on the building site or on a committee of the board, or if you can assist as a financial contributor, we welcome your support.
