Discover the untold story behind teen detective Nancy Drew in Nancy Drew: Iowa Heroine to the World. This free program highlights Iowa author Mildred Augustine, who created Nancy’s iconic character and wrote 23 of the first 30 mysteries—empowering generations with a legacy of courage, curiosity, and Midwest pride. The presentation is led by author and recently retired University of Northern Iowa English professor Barbara Lounsberry.
