9/12/2023 | The Indianola Concert Association presents Divas 3 as the first concert of our 2023-2024 season on Sept 12, 2023 at the HS Auditorium, 7:00 p.m. Three powerhouse voices sing iconic hits of '60s-'90s. For those who do not have season membership, you can purchase a ticket at the box office for all 4 concerts of our series for $50. This also includes reciprocity with Centerville and Newton's concert associations for an additional 11 free concerts. If you completed the online registration form by June 30, 2023, dropped off your completed form at McCoy True Value Hardware, and picked up your seed packets then find out by weighing and measuring your entry. Judging for the contest will be held at the Warren County Log Cabin Days festival on Saturday, Sept. 23rd with check in from 11:30 am - Noon. Ackworth Garden Club members will check in the entries and group them into three grade categories for judging: Sprouts K - 4, Growers 5 - 8, and Green Thumbs 9 - 12. Visiting artists often make presentations about their work, giving students the opportunities to interact with professionals. The gallery also serves as an important link between Simpson's campus and the extended community. All exhibitions and presentations are free and open to the public. About the Artist: Ben Millett works out of his studio at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines, Iowa. He uses rich colors and intricate compositions to create quilts that are visually compelling.
