Warren County Piecemakers' Quilt Guild Exhibition at Simpson College Gallery of Art and Design, April 5, 2024 through July 31, 2024. The exhibition features 17 quilts made by members of the guild.
The gallery is located on Howard Street between Clinton and Detroit Avenues. Gallery hours are 9am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday through the end of May. Visitors swarm to the balloon field of Indianola by the thousands every summer. And they leave awestruck. The National Balloon Classic spans nine incredible days. More than 150 hot air balloons take to the skies in a burst of brilliant color as pilots from around the world test their skills in pursuit of points, prizes, and the championship titles.
There’s live music and activities every night as well as plenty of food and fun for the whole family! And there are more than just hot air balloons taking to the sky — watch for skydivers, fireworks, and a display featuring giant kites.
During the National Balloon Classic on July 27 and August 3, Indianola's yoga in the park program moves to Memorial Balloon Field. Let your spirit soar as you stretch and move under a sky filled with hot air balloons.
