Join Warren County Conservation for a delicious evening celebrating local agriculture at our 3^rd Annual Farm to Table Dinner. This year’s fundraiser will be held on Friday, August 2^nd from 6pm to 9pm at the Middleswart Lodge located just south of Indianola. Indulge in a specially curated 4-course menu featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared by Award winning Chef Aaron Holt, of Doolittle Farms. Guests will enjoy live music by the Briggs Family Band while taking in the beautiful prairie scenery surrounding the Middleswart Lodge. Non-alcoholic beverages and glassware will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own wine or beer to enjoy with their meal. Proceeds from this event will benefit the development of a Nature Playscape at the Annett Nature Center.

During the National Balloon Classic on July 27 and August 3, Indianola's yoga in the park program moves to Memorial Balloon Field.  Let your spirit soar as you stretch and move under a sky filled with hot air balloons. 

This experience is FREE thanks to instructors Molly Sivertsen (July 27) and Haylee Skow (August 10).

Yoga at the farm is back this summer! ‍♀️ Bethany from Begin Again Yoga will be instructing!

Our beginner archery program is designed for individuals who are new to the sport and want to learn the fundamentals of archery. Participants will be taught proper shooting techniques, safety protocols, and equipment handling. Our experienced certified instructors will provide guidance and support as beginners develop their skills and confidence. This program is a great way to explore the exciting sport of archery in a fun and welcoming environment.

Close-toed shoes are required to shoot archery and if you have long hair, we recommend pulling it back for this activity.

This program is for ages 10-15.

This lively and highly interactive session will give individuals the critical essentials for getting a project done, regardless of the size or complexity, offering you techniques, concepts, and tools that will save you time and energy right away. This class is designed for individuals who are new to the PM space and need an introduction, or those more seasoned PMs who could use a refresher. This class includes everything you need to know to manage a successful project. Filled with fun activities and plenty of group interaction, this class will introduce you to many topics including, what a project manager is, what a project is, the project lifecycle, and helpful mnemonics. Additionally, participants will walk away with tools they can apply right away

Objectives
By attending this course, participants will . . .

1. Describe a project in a meaningful way –including the “what” and the “why” of it, a summary of the “how” and a prioritized statement of high-priority risks.
2. Describe the road map of project management, include the processes and knowledge areas that contribute to project success, with a focus on stakeholder management through influence regardless of authority:
   • Managing the triple constraint of Scope, Time, and Cost
   • Effective communication management
   • Risk management
3. Describe how the transition process impacts their team, and how projects cause change

Join us as we explore the art of dyeing with natural ingredients, and bring your creativity for this hands-on workshop. The cost is $10 per person. Payment of cash or check to WCCB are due at least a week before the program. This program is geared towards those 12 and older and children must be accompanied by an adult. The press conference will be held on the front steps of the Warren County Justice Center, located at 115 N Howard Street in Indianola, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the press conference will move indoors at the Warren County Justice Center. 

Below is a timeline for Thursday’s festivities as well as additional details:

• 2:45PM: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Join us out on the water for a canoe program on Lester Pond. Our naturalist will provide instruction on how to handle a canoe to avoid damaging it, how to get in and out of a canoe safely, how to paddle effectively, and how to navigate in the canoe with other people. This class will teach about boat safety, and offer the opportunity to explore the pond.

No experience necessary, we’ll teach you everything you need to know! Lifejackets are required and provided. We will put up to 3 people in each canoe. Meet at the Annett Nature Center.

Please register for the number of people in your group, we can fit 3 people in each canoe. If their are more or less than 3 people in your group you may be paired with others.
