We’re deep into planning the retreat for 2025. We’ll be at Raccoon River Nature Lodge again, but there will be changes, as always.

$20 due to West Hill the morning of class will take care of your glorious 50mins of barre and one pint of beer, hard cider or a non-alcoholic beverage.

Join Dunn Library and Indianola Public Library for an afternoon of engagement with local writers! The event will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Dunn Library on the Simpson College campus.
Visit with authors, listen to a panel and various book talks, enjoy a cookie, and enter a prize drawing. Pageturners Bookstore will have local interest books for sale.

Whip It Good Catering is excited to be hosting "Call Me Chef! Kids Cooking Classes again! Please read below for important information:
- Classes held at Whip It Good Catering, 110 South Howard Street, Indianola, Iowa
- Designed for kids ages 3-14 (give or take depending on child).
- An adult will be required to attend with the kids.
- Kids will prepare a full family meal that feeds 4-5 people. Meals will be prepared in disposable pans and ready for your ovens at home.
- Kids will receive a paper chef's hat, disposable apron, and ceritificate of completion.
- Cost is $60 per child
- $25 per additional child if they want to prepare and share the same meal
- If they each want to prepare their own meals then they will need to each register at the $60 level
- Payment is required no later than 1 week prior to the class. If you do not submit payment, your spot may be released.
Pho Wheels will walk you through the ingredients and then walk you through a "How- To" that includes 2 Rolls
West Hill Will Pair 2 Pints of Beer (sub for Cider, Wine `, or NA Cider or NA Beer) to perfectly compliment your Sushi rolls.
$45/person includes 2- Sushi Rolls and 2-Pints and the "How-To" workshop.
Doors Open at 5:30pm, Sushi Workshop starts at 6:00pm Tuesday September 19th

A $20 admission gets you yoga plus one complimentary beer, hard cider, or non-alcoholic beverage before the taproom is open to the public. Taproom doors open prior to class at 10:30 a.m.
The 2025 annual Spring Curbside Pickup is scheduled for the week of Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25.
Spring Curbside Pickup Guidelines
- Only large items not hauled through weekly service.
- The hauler will pick up the same day as your recycling materials. (This is an "off" week for recycling.)
- All items need to be on the curb at 6:00 a.m.
- Excessive quantities will not be picked up.
- No construction materials or railroad ties. Items not accepted in the collection include appliances, yard waste, tires, electronic waste, hazardous waste, railroad ties, construction materials, drywall, broken glass and concrete.
- Items that are bulky and difficult to handle, such as swing sets, must be cut up or dismantled into smaller pieces no longer than four feet.
- The total amount of debris on your curb MUST fit into the size of a flatbed truck, roughly 8 ft x 5.5 ft x 3 ft. Extra debris will not be collected.
